Stephanie Henderson
Born in Seattle Washington November 1, 1980. Influenced by her grandmother a professional graphic designer and painter in Portland. Stephanie has been creating works of art since the age of four. After seeing the Disney animated feature Pinocchio Stephanie knew at the age of six that she wanted to be a traditional cell animator. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation from the School of Visual Arts (New York, NY) in 2002, where she completed an animated film titled "Rehearsal" with Julliard featuring one of their ballerinas that premiered in the Dusty Film Festival. Since graduating she's traveled all across the country from Wyoming, Florida, Texas, California, Oregon, Nebraska and more. Her recent series of collage paintings started in Houston Texas with one portrait titled "New York Dream." Since moving to Portland in April of 2008 she has completed more than a dozen of her signature multi-media collage style works where portraiture is her main focus. What truly inspires her is capturing that raw connection that she feels with others on canvas using various colors and textures. Stephanie now lives in the Hollywood area of Portland.
