How did you end up in the mortgage business?

By accident! I had just finished my degree in Human Services and was ready to take on the world of social work. While I was interviewing for jobs during the pressures of the pandemic, I took what I thought would be a short term job as a transaction coordinator for Michael Sullivan. Within the first month I knew I loved it here! I was mentored by the best and got my loan officer license. The rest, as they say, is history.

What’s the best part of your job?

I love the problem solving that we get to do for clients. People will come to us with goals and hesitations, and we get to show them how their dreams of homeownership may be possible. Plus, I work with some incredible people who make not only make work more enjoyable, but who also care about their clients and doing the best for them.

How’d you end up in Portland?

I’ve lived in Vancouver almost my entire life. I moved to Bellingham, Washington for college, and loved how beautiful it is there! But I quickly returned to Portland to be near family. The Pacific Northwest will always feel like home to me!

What’s your favorite day look like?

It’s got to be a bright and sunny day – the warmer the better! I would love to get outside for a relaxing hike with my husband and settle somewhere with a view for a picnic. To round it out, I’d have to end the day with some shopping and sushi!

What would you do if you weren’t in the mortgage business?

I think I would take my hyper organization and love of all things fancy and be a wedding planner; something about weddings just brings me such joy. Much like helping someone buy a home, I love making someone’s vision come to life!
